Ghazalrang Mushaira in Pune

Suresh Bhat Ghazal Manch and URL Foundation held a Mushaira in Pune on 15th April 2017 which is the birth anniversary of the noted Marathi poet, Suresh Bhat. Kaushal was the chief guest for the programme along with senior music composer, Ravi Date. Two shayars, Sadanand Bendre and Pramod Kharade, were also given awards for their contribution to Marathi ghazal writing at the hands of Kaushal and Shri Ravi Date. The function was held in Pune at the S.M. Joshi Sabhahruha.

Kaushal, in his speech, spoke about how science was moving towards being more and more intricate while Art was moving towards being more and more unsubtle. He said that subtlety added refinement to Art. He also acknowledged the contribution of Suresh Bhat Ghazal Manch and URL Foundation in encouraging new talent in ghazal writing. He said that in a cynical environment, it becomes absolutely essential to encourage positive efforts.

To be pessimistic, there is no alternative to optimism any more.
