Kaushal was one of the chief guests at the Responsible Netism function organised by Ahaan Foundation. The Responsible Netism movement, in conjunction with Thane and Mumbai cyber cells, has taken up the endeavour to sensitise children, youth and parents to behaviour on the internet. It consists of ‘One Time, One Hour’ child friendly sessions titled ‘Being Responsible Netizens’ for students of Std V onward as well as their parents. The sessions focus on highlighting psychological impact and legal implications of irresponsible online behaviour and provide technical tips to secure gadgets to enable constructive use of technology, promote online safety and cyber wellness. The ‘Being Responsible Netizens’ programme has been sponsored by the Quick Heal Foundation.
On this occasion, Kaushal spoke about the fact that internet is great power at our hands, and as the famous line from the movie Spiderman goes – “With great power comes great responsibility.” He also spoke about the etiquette that should be observed while communicating on the internet. Kaushal mentioned the importance of cyber security and emphasised the importance of using legal, licensed software. His speech will soon be available in the videos section of this website.
